Look how sleek we look in our fall concert attire!
Welcome. We're The Loose Interpretations.
Our fabulous all-female a cappella group is based in San Francisco, and we've been performing all over the Bay Area since 2004. It's possible you've seen us singing on a street corner, in your local coffee house, taking over your local wine bar, or maybe, you know, in your friend's living room.
But just in case you haven't had a chance to meet us yet (and you totally should!), here's some information you might find helpful:
- We mostly sing original arrangements of pop covers, though our repertoire spans several decades and musical genres...from Gershwin to Annie Lennox, Simon & Garfunkel to Madonna, Stevie Wonder to The Postal Service, and even a little Bon Jovi. (Yep, Bon Jovi. May he forgive us.)
- We currently have 13 active members (though we can perform with as few as 6-8).
- Please note: The term "loose interpretations" applies liberally both to our arrangements and to our performances of them. We don't strive for perfection; we strive for fun.
So if you're indeed seeking a fun, off-beat group with a great sense of humor, darn good voices, and songs you'll probably want to sing along with, please contact us.
